About This Journal
The Journal of Banking and Financial Economics (JBFE) (ISSN 2353-6845) is an international scholarly journal published since 2014 by the University of Warsaw, and included in the list of journals scored by the Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Poland (70 points for publication).
Since the beginning of the Journal publication, we have striven to continuously improve the quality of publications through a multi-step process of peer reviewing submitted papers and the continued development of the referee list and the Scientific Board composition. In particular, we take care to ensure that the issues presented are current, reflect the ongoing discussions in our discipline, and that each topic is presented from multiple perspectives. The Authors who publish their articles in our Journal are associated with the best research institutions in Poland and many countries all over the world.
The publication is free of charge. All articles are published on the open-access basis and under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 license. Authors who publish with this journal retain all copyrights and agree to the terms of the above-mentioned CC BY 4.0 license.
Special Issues
JBFE welcomes publication of Special Issues, whose aim is to bring together and integrate work on a specific theme; open up a previously under-researched area; or bridge the gap between formerly rather separate research communities, who have been focusing on similar or related topics. Thematic issues are strongly preferred to a group of loosely connected papers.
Proposals of Special Issues should be submitted to . All proposals are being reviewed by the Editorial Team on the basis of certain criteria that include e.g.: the novelty, importance and topicality of the theme; whether the papers will form an integrated whole; and the overall 'added value' of a Special Issue.

Funding
We are pleased to announce that our semiannual Journal of "Banking and Financial Economics” has received funding from the state budget for a project under the "Development of Scientific Journals" program. The Ministry of Education and Science has granted de minimis aid in the amount of 21 197,00 PLN. The grant will be used to implement a strategy for the development of the journal including activities aimed at raising the level of publishing and editing practices, increasing the impact on the development of science, and maintaining the journal in international scientific circulation.
Miło nam poinformować, że nasz półrocznik „Journal of Banking and Financial Economics” otrzymał dofinansowanie z budżetu państwa na realizację projektu w ramach programu „Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych”. Ministerstwo Edukacji i Nauki przyznało pomoc de minimis w wysokości 21 197,00 zł. Dofinansowanie zostanie przeznaczone na realizację strategii rozwoju czasopisma obejmującą działania zmierzające do podniesienia poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenia wpływu na rozwój nauki oraz utrzymania się czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym.
